Manny Pacquiao has not signed an extension with promoters Top Rank
VIA his official website, MANNY PACQUIAO has denied that he has agreed a contract extension with his promoters, Top Rank. It had been reported on several websites that the Filipino had signed with Bob Arum’s outfit in a two-year deal – set to expire in 2016 - worth $75million.
“To hopefully stop all the rumors, we are making an Official Statement that no contract extension between Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank for a reported 75 million dollars has been executed at this time,” it read.
Pacquiao’s loyalty to Top Rank has often been named as a reason for failed negotiations with arch rival, Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao is due to face Timothy Bradley on April 12 in a WBO welterweight title rematch, while Mayweather is set to return on May 3 against Amir Khan or Marcos Maidana.
